Become a SoLAR Member to receive a LAK24 registration rate and other year-round benefits!

• Your SoLAR membership must be valid beyond March 2024 to be eligible for the LAK24 registration discount. 
• SoLAR memberships only allow you one LAK registration discount in any 12 month period
  • Note: If you have not received a membership confirmation email within 60 minutes of joining please check your spam folder as it may have been filtered by your email system.
• If your institution is a SoLAR member then you qualify for complimentary individual or student membership using the unique discount code provided to your institutional contact.  
  • Please note that this membership is not automatic, you will need to use the discount code provided to your institution to sign up for your free individual membership. 
• During LAK Registration, you will be asked for your SoLAR/ACM Membership ID. To find your SoLAR Membership ID, you need to log in to your solaresearch.org membership account via the LogIn button in the top right corner. Your Membership ID is located on your membership account page which can be found here: https://www.solaresearch.org/membership-account/. Any questions regarding your SoLAR membership can be sent to info@solaresearch.org.
• Non-members who register at the reduced member rate will be asked to pay the difference plus a $25 USD administrative fee.

After you have registered, be sure to review all travel and hotel information available on the website! Full program information will be available after paper notifications are sent. 

Registration Rates 

All Conference Fees are in USD and include all taxes and fees. 

SoLAR has made a concerted effort to keep LAK registration rates to just cover costs as illustrated in the financial information provided during the Annual General Meetings. In fact LAK registration rates have been held steady since 2017. 

The LAK24 Organizing team in conjunction with SoLAR have worked very hard to keep the in person registration fee increases as low as possible, but still able to cover rising conference expenses due to inflation.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to seeing many of the learning analytics community at LAK24.

Plus the full package includes the Conference Dinner Event on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the Heian Jingu Shrine Hall. Does NOT include admission to any Pre-Conference Workshop Events. All Workshops/Tutorials events must be purchased separately.

Conference Scholarships & Developing Nations Discounts

For developing nations identified here: https://www.worlddata.info/developing-countries.php, SoLAR is happy to provide a 20% discount on fees if applicable. If you require financial assistance and qualify based on your country location, please email lakconference@gmail.com with Subject line: Developing Nations Discount and we will provide further instructions which will be a short google form (or other format if your local context does not allow Google Forms).

LAK24 Refund Policy:

The 14th International Learning Analytics & Knowledge Conference refund policy is as follows:

All refund requests must be received in writing to lakconference@gmail.com

• Requests received by February 2, 2024, 11:59pm (AOE) will receive a full refund, less a $50 USD administrative fee.
• Requests received by February 16, 2024, 11:59pm (AOE) will receive a 50% refund, less a $50 USD administrative fee.
• Requests received after February 16, 2024 for the conference or pre-conference will receive no refund.

No exception will be made to the cancellation/refund policy for registrants due to personal or travel related issues, natural disasters, or other acts of God.

LAK24 shall assume no liability whatsoever in the event this conference is canceled, rescheduled or postponed due to a fortuitous event, Act of God, unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of this conference impossible.

LAK24 Transfer Policy:

Unable to attend but someone from your university or organization can? You’re in luck! 

We are now able to accept transfer requests. 

Rules for Ticket Transfers:

• All transfer requests must be submitted to lakconference@gmail.com by March 1, 2024, 11:59pm AOE
• Absolutely no transfers will be accepted after the above deadline.
• There are no changes in ticket categories for ticket transfers. For example, if you purchased a member priced ticket, the new attendee must also be a member or purchase membership.
  • Regular tickets can be transferred to students but there is no price adjustment available
  • Student tickets cannot be transferred to non-students
