As an Intern on the Learning Solutions Team, you will develop a strategy for using machine learning to drive customer success. This project will focus on gaining a strong understanding of how to measure real-time product adoption within our customer base through the evaluation of customer’s behaviors, and proposing smart and scalable data structures, systems and methods to more effectively help our customers (i.e. learning paths, feedback loops, adaptive interfaces).

You’ll be working with a cross-functional and pan-Autodesk group who are helping to build the next generation learning experiences for our products.

Join us for a Summer 2017 internship. Our summer internship program runs for ten weeks from June 2017–August 2017. We start interviewing in January and continue to on a rolling basis. We accept online applications through March but prioritize early submissions. Each internship project is assigned to a university recruiter who will review your qualifications. You may be considered for other roles that you didn’t directly apply for. Our #autodeskinterns have the opportunity to work alongside peers from universities all over the country and participate in location-based intern events such as tech talks, design nights, mentoring, networking with leadership, baseball games, bowling, amusement parks and more. Help Drive the Transformation

This project will help establish, test and refine the algorithms that will start building more intelligence into our learning ecosystem and product platform.

For this project, you will:

  • Review current research for adaptive learning systems and identify precedents for the use of machine learning in driving customer success.
  • Perform some original qualitative research on measuring customer adoption through data analytics.
  • Work with large data sets to do some quantitative statistical analysis towards measuring customer success.
  • Establish & communicate conceptual frameworks for utilizing machine learning to inform our content development, product development, and business analytics efforts.

Who’s a Fit:

  • Full-time student pursuing master’s degree or PhD in some combination of: machine learning, human-computer interaction, computer science, data analytics, engineering, business intelligence, or design research.
  • Fluency with both quantitative and qualitative research methods. Research experience.
  • Can pull actionable insights from large datasets to solve complex and ambiguous problems.
  • Familiarity with analysis, statistics, and reporting tools such as: SQL, C/C++, Python, PHP, R, Excel, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Domo, Hadoop, Network/Social graph.
  • Some familiarity with data mining methodologies such as classification, regression, similarity matching, clustering, co-occurrence grouping, profiling, link prediction, data reduction, causal modeling.
  • Some basis or interest in instructional design, ontology, and pedagogy a plus.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and project management skills.
  • Students must be enrolled at an accredited program in the United States with at least one academic term to complete post internship.
