Call For Proposals for LAP25 – due April 17, 2025

REMINDER:

The second Learning Analytics in Practice event will take place online from June 17-19, 2025 (depending on where in the world you are located (specific start and end times will be posted as schedules are made). Kick-off is tentatively scheduled for June 18, 2025 at 8:00 AM AEST (Sydney). 

The Society for Learning Analytics Research is excited to host this important event for Learning Analytics Community members that are focused on implementation, policy, technology innovations, professional development and other practical solutions of Learning Analytics around the world.

What is LAP?

LAP25 is a 24 hour around the clock global online event taking place in June 2025 focusing on learning analytics in practice featuring an easy submission process and plenty of informal online networking.

Topics and themes that will be highlighted:

  • Adoption strategies
  • LA Implementation - large and small scale
  • Institutional Policy
  • Learning Analytics Innovations & Inspiration
  • Connecting technical, theoretical and practical aspects of LA
  • and more!

When?

The event is currently planned to begin at 8:00 AM AEST on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

For frame of reference, this will be 12:00 AM Midnight in Frankfurt, Germany (CEST) on June 17 or 3:00 PM in Los Angeles, California (PDT).

Throughout the event, organizers will plan to strategically place keynotes and/or panels at varying times that will allow a large number of community members to join synchronously.

A benefit of online events as we all know is easy recording and sharing of past sessions. Need to sleep or have prior commitments? Most sessions will be recorded and shared in the event platform.  Further details of technology will be announced closer to the event.

How Can I Present or Participate?

The call for submissions is NOW open! The form will close on April 17, 2025 at 11:59pm AOE. It is a simple google form that will be reviewed by LAP25 regional teams to build a 24-hour program that will be finalized in early-mid May 2025.
